Russell P. Reeder

Russel P. ReederPresident and Chief Executive Officer

Russell P. Reeder was previously president and COO of NxTV, which was named to the Inc. magazine Fast 500 list in 2007. In 2000, Reeder founded RightsLine, Inc., a company that provides the most-used Software as a Service (SaaS) legal copyright licensing system in the media and entertainment industries. Reeder also spent over 12 years in technology sales and software development roles at companies such as Oracle, American Management Systems, and Mobil Oil.

Reeder holds a bachelor of science degree from James Madison University. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, and in 2005 was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Southern California Software Council.


Robert Alvarez

Robert AlvarezChief Financial Officer

Before joining LibreDigital, Robert Alvarez served as CFO of Augmentix, managing its finances through a period of significant growth and profitability until its acquisition by Entorian Technologies. Alvarez was also vice president of finance at Conformative Systems, where he facilitated its successful acquisition by Intel Corporation. Previously, Alvarez was director of finance at Crossroads Systems, where he played a key role in the company’s successful $80 million IPO as well as various strategic acquisitions and new business partnerships. He also held various roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Dell, Inc.

Alvarez holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.


Bob Carlton

Bob CarltonVice President, Marketing

Bob Carlton has been at the forefront of online information services for 25 years. He was part of the launch team for CourseSmart, the leading e-book company in higher education, which was founded and supported by the five leading publishers. Carlton was also senior vice president for business development at Thomson Learning (now Cengage), where he negotiated strategic relationships with several leading e-Learning companies to distribute the company’s offerings worldwide.

Carlton has also held senior positions with information providers and publishers such as Electronic Data Systems, WetFeet, News Corp, and Harcourt. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in marketing and statistics from Texas A&M University.


Steve Schatz

Steve SchatzVice President, Global Sales

Steve Schatz most recently served as vice president of sales for North America at Pecaso, which merged with Accenture to form Accenture’s SAP Human Capital Management practice.

Schatz is accomplished in team leadership and management of a direct sales force, with experience selling to Global 2000 companies and the US Federal government. He has also held leadership positions at IVTWeb, Aquire (formerly TimeVision), and Interact Corporation.

Schatz earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from California State Polytechnic University.


Tim Nichol

Tim RusselVice President, Engineering

Before coming to LibreDigital, Tim Nichol drove technology direction for Factory Logic, leading all product development, quality assurance, and support. Factory Logic was sold to SAP, where Nichol held a senior position. He also worked for Journee Software and for Tivoli Systems during a period of aggressive growth. While at Tivoli, Nichol grew a seven-person team to over three hundred engineers across five development sites. Tivoli was acquired by IBM, where Nichol also held a senior position.

Nichol earlier served as senior technical manager at UniSQL, and as manager of quality assurance at Information Builders, where he established a software development methodology and project management process, built comprehensive automated test systems, and led a multi-divisional team toward ISO 9000 registration.

Nichol holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York.
