LibreDigital maintains the Internet Digital Warehouse for Publishers (LDW) as a private, secure and high-performance hosted platform for ingesting, managing, documenting, usage-tracking and delivering - with Rights and Permissions - all forms of book content. Our LDW security is composed of technologies, policies and audits that, all together, represent effective barriers against threats and proper protections that our global book publishing clients expect and demand.
Within the LDW is a repository of book component objects including such items as book content (formatted and unformatted), page images, book jackets and related metadata. Digital and physical books that have completed processing and have been accepted by the Publisher's QA process are made 'Ready to Vend' in the digital warehouse. The LDW is the result of more than three decades of experience in large-scale content management systems, techniques and processes.
Each publisher is completely isolated from every other publisher using the LDW. The LDW and DataPipe, working in tandem, deliver entire eBooks or even just audio or video snippets rapidly and accurately. The LDW is fully scalable and extensible.
The technology formulation of the LDW is proprietary to LibreDigital. Please enquire to Sales at LibreDigital if you require more details.
