Publishers must protect every element of their intellectual property and LibreDigital also has developed our Internet Digital Warehouse for Publishers with many security parameters in mind. We approach the issue of security from these angles:
LibreDigital’s approach to physical security is manifested both in our facilities and in our Internet Digital Warehouse itself.
LibreDigital Processing Center Security: We control access to your titles at our Processing Center through the use of video cameras, a locked receiving facility and employee screening. Incoming titles are white-gloved to a locked holding center where they await the ingest process.
The Internet Digital Warehouse (LDW): LibreDigital has implemented three layers of security in our LDW. The disk that houses the database and its associated servers are isolated behind a subnet. The subnet is isolated behind switches and the switches and subnet are isolated behind firewalls. LibreDigital has twice undergone a thorough security audit. Those security audits are essentially composed of exposing our networks to the ministrations of hackers who use multiple techniques to infiltrate our systems. In both cases, they were unsuccessful.
Because we represent many of the top Book Publishers globally, LibreDigital operates under a well-documented set of security policies. For example, our publishing clients can only see their own content. Their account names and passwords are cryptic. Our network does not permit anonymous logins or sniffing. Individual clients are isolated from one another through proprietary partitioning.
Our ingest processes also feature a robust set of security routines to prevent contamination in the LDW. For more details on Security, please visit the Resource Center and request to view the Tech Note on Security.
